Win an Amazon.com gift card for helping me brainstorm

The winner of the gift card is: Cassie J. Congratulations, Cassie! Contact me with your info and I'll send along the card. Thanks to everyone who participated. This guy definitely could be a vampire.

I'm still working on the third book in my Kismet Knight, Vampire Psychologist series (thanks for all the emails asking about the book's progress: Kismet and Devereux will show up again at some point!), and thinking about what else I want to write. I'm going to expand a cool novella I sold (and got the rights back to) a couple of years ago into a novel. It's about an assassin vampire and a Detroit female rock guitarist. I just can't give up on those characters.

And, in addition to those things, I'm ready to tackle something totally new.

Help me out! What would you like to see me write about next? What plots, paranormal situations and characters appeal to you?

I'll randomly select one commenter to win a $10 gift card from Amazon.com

Deadline for entries: September 20, 2009

Be creative! Enter often! Winner will be posted here on 9/20. Stop back by to see if you've won.

I know this will sound almost like an oxymoron, but how about a story of Demon lawyers. There are so many bad lawyer jokes and stories, why not write a story showing that lawyers are really demons? Just as there are good and bad lawyers, there are also good and bad demons, and there are just so many ways this could go. Maybe, if you don't like this idea, I could write my first one.

Excellent suggestion, Nancy. LOL -- demons and lawyers. But if you decide to write a version, it will be unique to you, so have at it!! Thanks for stopping by.

Lynda--

I'm casting my vote on the expansion of the novella for the detroit rock guitarist chick! And, that guy--oooo, yummy--where did you find that pic? Maybe the chick sold her soul to the demon in Nancy G's post. She hires another to fight her case and they battle it out in court. Of course, the key witnesses are a pair of street kids in love who OD'd shortly after witnessing the original event of the soul-selling and they are resurrected and brought to court, including ddurances post. And maybe, tie in Pam's by having the guitarist chick have some undeveloped powers that the demons hoped to collect or use or steal or something

Angels turned to vampires or shapeshifters

Demons with a soul

Psychic time travelers

Human psychic who can only come out at night due to physical condition

Vampire that just wants to be left alone to grow his grapes, make his wine, but keeps getting called out to lead his people

Please count me in.

Oh Lynda, what a yum-me man!!! What a delight...!
I am so looking forward to Devereux & Kismet's story!! But I love whatever you would throw our way....

What a wonderful thing to ask of us!!!
Let's see what we all can come up with!!!

Paranormal historical - back in the day when men were gentlemen and ladies were true ladies...

Fallen Angel/Demon. A woman is the fallen angel and she has to right the paths of some many lives so that her soul can be set free. Until she meets a man she can not think to part with. Enters Demon man. His job is to destroy lives/marriages/relationships/peple as he can. He is doomed... until he meets a fallen angel with a sweet passion for rigthing the wrong...

I shall return.. hopefully with more!
I hope you have a great night and a wonderful tomorrow!

Oh My that guy is absolutely yummy! Vampires have been all the rage for some time now, and I love them..boy do I love them. But I also love the Weres, not just wolves but wererats, weretigers, were...well you get the idea. But big ones 6'5 completely muscled who find their mates in small human women. Then when these women are turned into weres they have some sort of gene that turns their animal side into huge prehistoric animals, like weredinosaurs. I have yet to see something liek that done. I think a small woman who a werelion is afraid to mate with because she is so small and then when turned is a T-Rex-were would make a very interesting story.

Hi Lynda!

I'd love me so demons, so that where my vote goes.

How bout a demon trying to go good, win his true love through good deeds, but he's having trouble changing his spots (but she's so attracted by the bad boy, she can't help herself)?

I was thinking of aliens, who are the last of their kind and land on earth in a space ship that barely makes it here and disintegrates when it lands. The pieces of the space ship taking root in the earth where it landed and growing into a forest. Because the Aliens are plant based. But they can transform themselves for a few days into a human form, only the color of the plant they are. Of course their life spans are at least 200 years and they fall in love with humans. Their offspring having some sort of special powers. Like being able to make earths plants grow, more fruit on fruit tree's ect. lol My imagination is endless.

I'm all about vampires. How about vampires hooking up with humans with special abilities? Or maybe something really dark, where the vampires are evil? Love your books!
