And so it begins . . .

This has been a grand week. Signing the contract with Medallion Press spurred several other interesting things to happen. I'm on the Medallion authors website and on my agent's website, I've been invited to join several "published author" loops for various writing groups I belong to, lovely souls I haven't spoken to in months have contacted me with congratulations, and my book is in the "cover creation/book editing" process. ARGH! I noticed that I've been avoiding reading through the manuscript for "The Vampire Shrink" again. Not sure why, exactly. Afraid I'll find it really sucks, or something, I guess. But I've begun the process and am ready to take on whatever changes might be requested by the publisher. I have a few things I'd like to change, myself. I've heard before that authors often look at completed manuscripts and say, "what was I thinking?" I'm there. But, I know me well enough to know that I'll come out the other side. After all, my new mantra is "everything is working out great."

Hugh Laurie has nothing to do with my sale. I just love the show "House." He's so brilliantly, outrageously neurotic.

I signed a contract for The Vampire Shrink!!

OK. I was going to cool my jets. I was going to wait until I actually got the contract back in the mail from the publisher, but I've never been known for my patience. I signed a contract with Medallion Press to publish my urban fantasy w/romance elements novel. I heard something about a potential release date being October, 2007.

Yay!
