Autumn Equinox Contest!! Your Favorite Paranormal Creatures

CONTEST WINNERS!!!
Thanks so much to everyone who left a comment. I just wrote everyone's name on little pieces of paper and selected two.
Congratulations to:
Aimee Beckmann
and
Jennah Sharpe

In honor of the Fall Equinox, the dazzling colors of the turning leaves, and the first snow up in the Colorado mountains, I'm holding a contest!

What is your favorite paranormal creature? A blood-crazed vampire? An erotic vampire? A wereanimal? A ghost? A faerie? An elf? A shapeshifter? Something else? (And, by the way, what's the difference between a shapeshifter and a wereanimal? Curious minds want to know!)

Leave a comment here, telling me your favorite paranormal creature, and why -- and perhaps even tell us which character in which book really rings your chimes -- and I'll write all the names of the comment-leavers on pieces of paper and will pick two winners out of a hat on Saturday, September 30 at 8 p.m. Mountain Time.

Winners can choose between a $10 gift certificate from The Wild Rose Press (www.thewildrosepress.com) or the Guided Hypnotherapy CD of your choice from the line of CDs I created. You can take a peek at the CDs at www.lyndahilburn.com.

5 Magical Wands From Enchanted Ramblings

Astraea from Enchanted Ramblings gave "Diary of a Narcissistic Bloodsucker" 5 Magical Wands out of 6! Here's a link to her review:

Zara (heroine of "Diary") tells me that she was the inspiration for several vampire art masterpieces. In addition to being Elvira's role model, she also claims to have inspired the artist of this picture. But, it's hard to know when Zara's telling the truth. After all, she's the poster child for "it's all about me!"

My First Interview!

Romance at Heart Online Magazine interviewed me! I talked about "Diary of a Narcissistic Bloodsucker" and my novel, tentatively titled "The Vampire Shrink." Here's the link!

Good Review! She Used the "S" Word!

I was delightfully surprised to find this review from Harriet Klausner on my short story "Diary of a Narcissistic Bloodsucker!" The review was a little longer -- the first couple of paragraphs gave a nice overview of the details of my story. I thought I'd just include the review part here.

This is a terrific jocular E-book chick lit (Zara’s first person perspective) vampire thriller that grips the audience early on with Zara’s muses and the heat between her and Niven-Jeran and never lets readers go until the final shocking biting twist. Though a short story, readers will want to peruse future supernatural fiction by Lynda Hilburn as this is a superb paranormal short story thriller.
